Alamedas should come back as a participative part of the city. The more punctual lightening the more urban activity. These are the two premises taken to approach the recovery of the tree range original from the Spanish colonial city.
It’s enchanting past left behind; today Alamedas lost their splendour in the contemporary city of the Central Valley of Chile. They hardly survive left to their luck, almost like white elephants, beautiful but hard to maintain.
Instead of one homogenous and neglected space, an ever-changing diversity of program is suggested in order to overcome imminent insolvency. A Skate park, firemen training spot, children games, basketball and soccer courts, a cultural centre sank and fusion with a underground parking, and a open concert hall are all incorporated in a multiplicity of shifting activities.

A diagonal wooden catwalk joins the whole. Trees are added and a continuous grid of LED lights provides millions of possible configurations, colours, ambiences and performances to the now reborn Alameda to Lumineda. An infinite constellation of vigorous urban life at your feet…
