This school to be located in a problematic ghetto in Chile -Las Achiras, Puente Alto- is an emblematic project for Supersudaka.
Besides the fact that it was not realized, it addressed issues and encouraged a stance that seems very influential to the group even today: go there were almost no architect nor big A architecture goes…
Puente Alto past from a village to become the most populated satellite city not only of Santiago, but also of Chile.
No services and no opportunities: criminality rose immediately, youth was left hopeless.

.
More than 50% percent of public schools in Chile are in social risk. The regulations for schools seem adequate for middle and upper class conditions, but completely inoperative in unstable circumstances.
Plus in these cases, the “panoptical” archetype of these schools appears to be closer to a prison rather than a welcoming educational infrastructure.
The project meets all the regulations, but it is elaborated in sort to be realized according to the available budget and student quota, therefore, different variations are possible based in one module.
In order to reach an extreme low budget, a concrete prefabricated system, almost literally inspired by the typical perimeter-closing wall of the area, is considered for the construction of the whole school.
Leaving a huge canvas for the local graffiti culture to colonize, thus, to be appropriated and constantly renewed by the youngster’s manifestations.
